Sneakmart, a French startup exclusively dedicated to streetwear culture, will launch a new collection of NFT sneakers in mystery boxes called Metakicks
Furthermore, the Sneakmart team created 15 unique 3D designs with different shapes, colors, textures, and materials that would let its owner be a cut above in the virtual space. Not to mention, the platform has collaborated with famous brands and celebrities for this project.
In detail, Sneakmart will release 6,250 Metakicks boxes inclusive of 625 pairs of sneakers. These boxes will be available for purchase when it first drops. With its ‘mystery concept’, the type of sneakers inside the Metakicks box will remain anonymous until the owner opens it.
Generally, the fashion startup seeks to bridge the gap between physical and digital sneakers. They also believe that due to the NFT hype, people are now buying sneakers because of their rarities–serving as a status symbol.
CEO of Sneakmart Anthony Debrant commented:
Sneaker addicts love to collect and wear a lot of sneakers. Everyone loves sneakers today, everyone wears them. With Metakicks, we want to give the opportunity to start collecting digital sneakers through unique designs.
Moreover, with the fast-growing NFT market and introduction of Web3, sneaker enthusiasts now have the chance to purchase a pair of limited-edition sneakers, resell them on the secondary market, and earn massive profits.
In addition, users can purchase the Metakicks boxes on the official Sneakmart website. Minting shall be completed in two steps: whitelist sale and public sale.
For the first one, participants in the whitelist will be given an exclusive discount on the mint price and will be secured with at least one mystery box. Afterwards, the public sale will be launched and prices are to be revealed soon.
