The Tom Brady-backed company announced on Wednesday that it had closed a $170M Series B round led by Andreessen Horowitz and Kleiner Perkins. With the news, the company has also added three more people to its power-packed board, including Lightspeed’s Katie Haun, a16z’s Arianna Simpson, and Kleiner Perkins’s Ilya Fushman.
Virgil Abloh-designed AF1s to go on Auction at Sotheby’s
Sotheby’s will sell 200 pairs of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low sneaker designed by Virgil Abloh starting next week. Bidding starts at $2,000 during the event which runs from Jan. 26 through Feb. 8. Sizes range from US 5 to 18, and each pair is packaged in an exclusive trunk. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Abloh’s “Post Modern” Scholarship Fund, first launched in 2020 through an initial endowment of $1 million.

The Italian luxury brand teamed up with Ledger to design two customized crypto wallets that feature Fendi’s signature “F.” The new products retail for $149, making them far more affordable than the brand’s fiat currency wallets. The news comes on the same day as adidas announced that it is pairing with Prada for its first NFT collaboration and that Gucci teamed up with SUPERPLASTIC for its “SUPERGUCCI” NFT line.
